Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • DoD Mentor subject matter expertise for the entire duration of Phase II training and all DOD Mentors for Phase II are required to attend both the mi-course and end of course Academic Review Board.
  • The DOD Mentor is responsible for the instructions, guidance, and close evaluation of each trainee within his or her respective lane on DOD authorities and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
  • The DOD Mentor will provide support to Phase II activities and will provide weekly “IN-Role” feedback to trainees to ensure maximum compliance with exercise objectives.
  • The DOD Mentor shall write formal evaluations of trainee performance for Government consideration and must capably articulate complex ideas and concepts to the trainees.
  • One DOD Mentor is required for each training lane in Phase II.
  • The requirement for a contracted DOD Mentor will be based on the number of training lanes out of five (5) total that the US Government cannot support internally. For example, if the US Government can only supply three (3) DOD Mentors from their ranks, two additional DOD Mentors would be contracted to make up the difference to support all five (5) training lanes for Phase II.

 

Required Skills/Experience: 

  • The DOD Mentor shall have five (5) years SOF operational HUMINT experience as a MSO CAT I HUMINT collector and
  • One (1) non-JOA tour.
  • MSO CAT I HUMINT Collector course graduate
  • TS/SCI Clearances
  • BA/BS Degree
