Minimum Years of Experience: 1 to 3 years

Required Education: Associates Degree with relevant certifications or without degree 3 or more years of experience related to the position


Job Responsibilities:  Manage and maintain User Account and access to network resources.  Administer user accounts and profiles in Active Directory and Exchange accounts.  Monitor and manage MIMESweeper appliance and associated email security/quarantine processes.  Manage operation and administration of complex, networked Multi-Function Printer/Scanner/Copier devices.  Apply systems analysis and engineering techniques and combine software, hardware standards in support of standard desktop systems. 

Additional Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage user accounts and access to network resources.
  • Manage and maintain the integrity of the client Active Directory using Powershell and related tools
  • Reset password and access permissions on demand
  • Manage Iron Key devices as Iron Key administrator
  • Manage user email distribution lists and user security groups within Active Directory
  • Manage network print queues, troubleshooting and resolving queue problems
  • Update and manage printer drivers installed on print servers
  • Manage access to resources on file servers
  • Manage general Multifunction Device (MFD) operations and Autostore server for network scanning environment
  • Manage MIMESweeper appliance for release of email quarantined because of suspected security issues
  • Manage accounts in Proof Points encrypted mail appliance
  • Support implementation of MS Forefront Identity Management System
  • Support for agency “PIV” smart card secure login project
  • Support Terminal Server and Virtual PC




Experience Required:


  • Experience managing Active Directory user accounts
  • Experience managing MS Exchange user accounts


Skills Required:

  • Incredible attention to detail and accuracy in creating/modifying/managing a high volume of user accounts
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, Windows 7 and 8
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Terminal Server 2003/2008/2012
  • Experience with Symantec or similar security software
  • Advanced knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, switching and routing concepts, network printers, network devices, configuration and topology in client infrastructure
  • Tier 2 Help Desk Support for the Customer Support Center technicians
  • Collaborate with senior staff and client to resolve complex problems
