Responsibilities

SC3's cloud operations analysts provide critical assistance to high-profile customers, playing a key role by bridging technology and sensitive operations. The analyst maintains capabilities in SC3’s nationwide cloud-based network. Other key duties: act on alerts related to commercial cloud provider outages, account management issues, account billing and other situations requiring monitoring during normal business hours. Track the commercial cloud provider monitoring services (e.g., AWS CloudWatch) and SC3’s user interface/dashboard with system status, addressing cloud account problems as they arise. Assist the network engineering team as they implement new cybersecurity features such as database hosting security and commercial cloud provider offerings from Amazon, Google, IBM, Microsoft, etc. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve backup and other business continuity features of cloud-based systems.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience in cloud computing or a cybersecurity-related field
  • Windows operating system experience
  • Ability to learn security procedures and implement/maintain secure configuration of physical and virtual machines
  • Strong communication, writing and organization skills
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required

 

Desired Skills:

  • In-depth experience using at least one commercial cloud provider such as Amazon, Google, IBM, Microsoft, Rackspace, etc.
  • Familiarity with virtual machines
  • Experience using web-based trouble ticket tracking systems
  • AWS certified
