    Job Responsibilities:

    This position requires a senior-level understanding of Avaya 7.X software and the operating systems to perform security vulnerability assessments, research, documentation, and remediation. Other responsibilities require a willingness to learn and take on mobile messaging application server and collaboration support. Maintain and update unified voice, video, web conferencing, and mobile communications infrastructure and services by providing full lifecycle engineering support resulting in solutions that are secure, effective, responsive, complete and efficient.


    Other responsibilities include:

    • Avaya CM/Unified Communications products;
    • Legacy telecommunications services (e.g., analog, digital PSTN lines and trunks, etc.);
    • Assessing mobile communications infrastructure and devices to identify and analyze critical performance indicators and operational gaps that can pose significant risk;
    • Performing communications system’s health assessments to include technology and/or routing protocols including review of systems device health and collection of performance-related data;
    • Provides project coordination and support across all areas in telecom group;
    • Ensures updated SOPs exist for all aspects of mobile device operations;
    • Integrating technical requirements and design goals into the overall enterprise network design;
    • Maintains subject matter level expertise in unified voice, data, video, mobile technologies and systems administration capabilities;
    • Provides tier 2/3 support to investigate and resolve problems, inefficiencies, and performance issues which may require shift work or after hours call-in 7/24/365 to meet customer SLAs;
    • Familiar with various ticketing systems and managing customer reported issues by opening, maintaining, and closing tickets to meet SLA and KPI initiatives;
    • The management and maintenance of BES 12 messaging infrastructure including vulnerability assessments, patching, upgrading, and testing of new devices.



    Required Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience or;
    • No degree with 10 or more years of experience related to position

    Required Experience:

    • Assessing, researching, documenting, and managing vulnerabilities in Avaya systems
    • Avaya Communication Manager
    • Avaya Session Manager
    • Avaya Call Center
    • Voicemail Support
    • Moves, Adds, Changes support


    Desired Experience:

    • Installation and support of Avaya 96xx and B179 SIP phones
    • Teleconferencing setup and troubleshooting
    • Audio and Video implementation and support
    • Wireless device implementation and support
    • Multi-Media implementation and support
    • Collaboration implementation and support
    • RIM Blackberry Enterprise Service (BES) v12 with MS-Exchange
    • Blackberry, iPhone, iPad, Android and Galaxy device provisioning
    • Administration of mobile devices in a large enterprise


    Desired Certifications:

    • Avaya Certified Support Specialist
    • Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist
    • CCNA
